Commodity Manager Global Sourcing (m/f/d)
Position:

Full-time

Location: Suzhou, China
Your tasks:
  • Manage supplier qualification and approval process and maintain AVL
  • Manage supplier pool per commodity based on strategy, actual and future demand, technology, country/region, and other relevant aspects. Develop and execute supplier/commodity strategy.
  • Select and nominate supplier based on global processes
  • Develop new suppliers together with SQE to enlarge VIA supplier portfolio and bargaining power
  • Drive cost improvement programs to improve supplier competitiveness, based on detailed understanding of supplier processes, cost structure and cost drivers
  • Evaluate, maintain and report market relevant information per commodity related to price, roadmaps and technology developments. Communicate frequently to all internal stakeholders (management, sales, marketing, R&D)
  • Initiate and lead SE activities with suppliers to reduce material cost
  • Responsible to monitor and improve supplier performance (supplier development).
  • Manage supply chain issues (risk management) by coordinating activities with the supplier and internal organization. Develop a plan to ensure production is not impacted.
  • Develop and monitor annual and long-term procurement strategy for assigned commodities and present to management based on supplier Performance.

 

Quality Manager (m/f/d), VIA192

Your tasks:
  • Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO/IATF requirement, and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Devise and establish a company's quality procedures, standards and specifications
  • Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
  • Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures
  • Report to top management on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement.
  • Conduct periodic management review meetings.
  • Ensure evaluation of, and reporting on, vendor quality systems.
  • Oversee inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements.

  • Driver development, signal processing, controlling, user interfaces towards complete systems and respective test Setups
  • Development comprises displays, touch screens, cameras, communication interfaces, related drivers, signal processing as well as application front ends

Customer Quality Engineer (m/f/d), VIA210
Position:

Your tasks:
  • Ensuring the quality standards of VIA optronics GmbH
  • Coordinate with failure parts return process (RMA)
  • Initial analysis of complained parts from customer, and hand over the deep analysis to related function (e.g SQE, Engineering etc)
  • Initiate, implement and track measures to prevent product errors in cooperation with internal and external units
  • Assure technically and functionally correct application of quality tools and methods which are relevant to production, including customer's requirements
  • Identify potential field risks on the product and forward information to related function.
  • Make suggestions as to lessons learned measures with information from the customer rejects and coordinate internally

Engineering Manager (m/f/d)
Position:

Your tasks:
  • Finalize the product specification and establish the qualification plan and execute related tests with quality
  • Establish the process work instructions for production and hand over the product to production
  • Designs and builds electrical testing equipment, including test equipment for R&D as needed
  • Direct, review, and approve product design and changes.
  • In cooperation with other departments, investigate and adjust the process or the product in response to customer complaints regarding quality
  • Sustaining production support
  • Facility management (Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment)

Quality Assurance Manager (m/f/d), VIA208
Position:

Location: Shiga, Japan
Your tasks:
  • Engagement with customers on mass produced products:
    • Assessment of complaints and quality defect situation through direct communication with Shanghai OSS, and sharing of the information internally within the company.
    • Giving directions to the company to investigate and identify root cause of each defects and to administer corrective measures, submit reports on countermeasures to the customers via OSS.
    • Business trips to Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Attend periodic quality meetings (once per 6 months).
    • Provide explanation and guidance to the customers on characteristics of Cu sensor film and correct processing methods.
  • Conclusion of delivery specifications for mass production:
    • Crafting delivery specifications for mass production.
    • Aligning with customers on standards and specifications, moving negotiation forward to conclude delivery specifications.
  • Handling internal quality defects.
    • Quality determination on whether a product is acceptable or defective, execute countermeasures (must learn how to inspect products and how to detect defects).
    • Implement corrective measures for quality incidents and defective products.

Sales Engineer (m/f/d)
Position:

Location: Orlando, Florida
Your tasks:
  • Be the technical liaison to resolve customer's technical issues related to LCD, touch, display and/or automotive camera module hardware and business processes.
  • Work with Area Sales Managers and customers throughout the sales process and product design in cycle
  • Help define the product specification together with the customer and drive the respective development process within VIA optronics
  • Interface between customer and our internal R&D organization for product definition.
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance to Area Sales Managers through collaboration on account strategy and product demonstrations.
  • Provide fact-based analysis
  • Manage customer issues to resolution by drawing on support resources from Engineering, Service, and Operations.
  • Maintain a current understanding of emerging technologies and trends in Displays, Touch screens, glass and plastic cover lens materials, automotive camera modules, and embedded computing for automotive camera management systems and ADAS applications.
  • Travel up to 40% of the time in the US and internationally
